As hurricane Ike approaches the Texas coast on path for the Greater Houston area, we are working with our clients to ensure they are prepared ahead of the storm and that everyone’s data is properly backed up to our Dallas facility. If you haven’t taken steps already to make sure your sensitive data isn’t lost, please contact us immediately and we can help you with your data needs.
So two days after making our database server upgrade, everything seems to be still running stable and the effects are encouraging. Performance on all of our database driven sites are running at higher levels and the cushion we have created for increased traffic is looking very nice. As more sites are added to our systems, we can expect to see the same incredible performance that we are currently seeing with our customers. Thanks again for everyone’s patience over the weekend.
And we are back!!! 100% performance. Sorry about the extended downtime but the good news is everything is working great! Check back soon for a detailed post about what all we did today.
The majority of our client websites are back up and running. Certain tasks are still being hindered while we work out the kinks in the updates. We will keep you updated as to when we are back up running full speed.
We are on the downhill slope of the upgrade…things are starting to look up for us. Should be done soon.
Running into a few bumps in the road on the upgrades. Working through these diligently right now and trying to meet our 4:00 deadline.
We are going to be bringing down the database server at 1:30 PM CST today to perform the scheduled upgrades. Our estimated time of bringing services back up is going to be 4:00 PM CST. Hopefully we can bring these sites back up before then, but we will monitor the performance after the upgrade and then post back when we are running at 100% again.
We will be performing some system upgrades to the database server this weekend. While we will be minimizing the amount of downtime for our database driven website clients, some downtime is expected. What does this mean for you? All of our sites will be switched to maintenance mode, meaning that no changes will be allowed to the sites (including automatic uploads on our datadriven sites). Your site will continue to be served for your customers to reach, so no worries there.
Check back often on an update with this weekends upgrades.
